Not accomodate user access to older versions. Their main priority now is improving the game and adding new features. Publicado originalmente por Mutant1988:Fact: The developers won't halt future development to implement a feature tha allows users to play an unfinished and unstable earlier version. Uploading the earlier versions on Steam is easy so why the hell not? If you love having to start your character after every update then be my guest but some users don't and there should be an alternative for them. Overgrowth is on a whole new level compared to Starbound, they also had much less funds and had to be started out with a kickstarter otherwise they wouldn't be here, I couldn't care about development time as long as the game actually ends up being great.ĭoesn't matter if I pre-ordered the game, I should be able to play what the hell I want. Why does it matter if Postal 2 is finished or not? They still provided users who were unable to play the earlier saves with a solution which Overgrowth also did and that's also in development. If people are too stupid to accept character wipes its on them, and only them. You are in the beta, you are entitled to whatever the devs what to give you. Especially if that means that my other game saves don't work and I can't enjoy the content that I was enjoying. I shouldn't be forced to start a new game and test the new content if I do not wish to. Yes developers from other early access games like Overgrowth etc have provided the earlier versions and are fully accessable to download for users. You paid for the game therefore whether you should test the extra content or not should be completly up to you. Don't like it? play on release and shut the hell up. The disclaimers are all over the store page, and all over the laucnher If people are too stupid to accept character wipes its on them, not the devs. and look at the hilariously long time that game has been in development. Yes, and that game is finished, and not in beta. :robodance:ĭoesn't really matter if Running with Scissors have changed the code or not in the 2nd one, they still provided a earlier version for their users and their game is 10 years old. Seeing the hilarious failure of postal 3, do you really think they're devoting resources to anything else.? Running with sciossors have not changed the game code at all, all they have done is put a wrapper over the game that lets it run easily on windows 7. Publicado originalmente por The BionicSquid:īecuse they are an old indie company trying to develop a game? Does minecraft, or rust, or paranuatical activity offer previous versions? They're trying to get people to beta TEST the game.
